ProSearch : a partner that brings efficiency to the legal process and spend
Ryan Costello
Head of Operations, EU
Manager, Data Privacy Services
9 February 2024 (Brussels, BE) – After I had semi-retired from my legal career and media producer career in the digital media industry, I was somewhat “reawakened” and entered the eDiscovery industry. It was in the U.S. where I staffed and managed eDiscovery review projects for several staffing agencies, then directly for law firms, and eventually for a Fortune 50 company. I went on to start a job listing service for staffing agencies, law firms and corporations seeking eDiscovery professionals, and I also re-started my media company.
But 21 years ago I had moved to Europe (my wife’s desire to return home) and for many years I went back-and-forth to the U.S., staffing and managing eDiscovery review projects on both sides of the Atlantic – and developing an expertise on the differences between those two discovery worlds.
Along the way I met Ryan Costello, who was also a U.S. lawyer who had moved to Europe. I have known Ryan for 10+ years and we have worked together on many eDiscovery projects across Europe and elsewhere.
So when I heard Ryan had linked up with ProSearch as their Manager of EU Operations and was also heading up their data privacy services, I was delighted.
As most of the eDiscovery community knows, ProSearch has been a leading provider of tech-enabled solutions to corporations and law firms. They have excelled in their eDiscovery and AI-led review offerings which has allowed clients to efficiently address their most challenging litigation, regulatory, privacy and other legal matters.
But what I most admire about them is their diverse team. It’s not only attorneys but consultants, data scientists, linguists, project managers and eDiscovery specialists who collaborate with clients to execute their needs and ensure on-target, on-budget, on-time delivery. I have worked with 15 eDiscovery companies across the U.S. and Europe, and I have seen The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. So it is no surprise to me that ProSearch works with some of the largest companies in the Fortune 500 as a trusted partner that brings efficiency to the legal process and spend.
Last week my media team caught up with Ryan at Legalweek 2024 and they chatted about eDiscovery in the EU, the advance of AI, and much more. Here is that chat:
