3 February 2022 (Rome, Italy) – ABOVE: the long version of a TikTok that I Tweeted last night and this morning. Done by a UK video editor mate using some incredible full stack AI/ML media solutions.
When time permits I’ll do a piece on the computer vision and artificial intelligence systems for media content recognition, as well as the emotion and expression recognition engines out there.
These full stack AI solutions are designed for anybody working with video (I am using one such system for my Holocaust movie). And they even have application in the e-discovery market, their technology far and away better than anything I have seen from any legal technology vendor. They were used in an enormous video e-discovery project in Europe a few years ago.
Based on the latest deep learning techniques, these AI intelligence engines recognize specific people, visual context, speech topics, video categories and other video entities at an unprecedented level of detail, from scene to higher level understanding.
If you are interested in this area, and you are in the UK, attend the Media Production and Technology Show in London which (hopefully) will proceed this May after a two-year absence due to COVID. It is the premier event for the media production industry in the UK but attracts media production vendors from across Europe. It covers a variety of subjects, ranging from content creation and various production services, to the delivery and management of media productions. It usually attracts over 15,000 creative professionals, business leaders and tech professionals every year.
